Popular Boxing-Inspired Fitness Studio Signs Lease at Pilgrim Gardens Shopping Center
Jabz Boxing announced today a local entrepreneur has signed a lease agreement for a new location nestled between Drexel Hill and Havertown. The boxing-inspired, circuit-style workout studio will open at Pilgrim Gardens Shopping Center, along the north side of the shopping and dining destination that features national and local retailers.
Jabz Boxing delivers unparalleled classes led by nationally-certified coaches in a supportive and community-driven environment. With the tagline “Come as you are, leave stronger,” Jabz inspires individuals from all backgrounds and at all fitness levels to step into the ring.
“After having my third child, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that made it difficult to work out,” said Shannon Crowley, the owner of Jabz Boxing Drexel Hill. “When I tried the Jabz Boxing workout, I was surprised by how fast the class flew by. The workout had the ability to be modified, and I never felt like anyone was judging me or waiting on me to finish.”
Jabz Boxing helped Crowley get back into working out, but she’s always had a passion for functional training exercises and working hard. As a Temple and Cabrini University graduate, Shannon Crowley is an enterprising business owner with more than a decade of experience in teaching and eight years as a business owner concurrently. Combining her experience in leading students and teaching math and computer science with her entrepreneurship background, Crowley is well positioned to introduce Drexel Hill to the Jabz Boxing experience.
In addition to Crowley, Christina Cunningham will manage the Jabz Boxing Drexel Hill. Cunningham comes from a prestigious athletic background with experience competing in more than 25 triathlons, including Ironman Lake Placid in 2018, as well as qualifying and running in both the Boston Marathon and the Philadelphia Marathon. Cunningham is a great addition to the Jabz Boxing Drexel Hill team.
“As we continue to grow in Pennsylvania, we saw Shannon and Christina’s passion for fitness and felt that it truly embodied what Jabz Boxing is all about,” said Danielle Scott, Jabz Boxing Brand President. “Shannon and Christina have the entrepreneurial know-how and the right mindset to fit the Jabz Boxing culture and we know they are the perfect people to bring Jabz to Drexel Hill.”
Unlike other boxing gyms, Jabz’s focus is on developing fitness, not fighters. The brand’s signature workouts combine boxing-inspired exercises with cardio, plyometrics and functional training movements designed to push clients to their limits and deliver maximum results.
The signed lease in Drexel Hill marks Jabz Boxing’s continued growth along the East Coast. With two locations already open in Pennsylvania and one in New Jersey and an upcoming opening in Maryland, Jabz Boxing is poised for continued expansion into new markets across the United States. Several franchise agreements in the development pipeline position Jabz Boxing to become the breakout boutique fitness brand in the post-pandemic fitness space.
