The MADness Builds in San Antonio

In News by Al Mendoza

SAN ANTONIO – MADabolic, the original strength-driven interval training franchise, is excited to announce a newly signed multi-unit agreement that will dramatically expand the brand’s first to market fitness concept in the San Antonio Metro area.

Local entrepreneur Dimple Patel, who signed an agreement earlier this year to open a single MADabolic, has decided to add three additional locations. Immersed in the MADlifestyle and a firm believer that MADabolic is the new standard in group fitness, Patel was compelled to secure the new locations. Her first of four gyms is slated to open in the next four to six months.

“The concept is so fresh and I am 100 percent certain it will appeal to high-performing fitness enthusiasts in local communities. The science-backed workouts provide unmatched results, which foster the creation of close-knit groups of people who rally together around MADabolic,” said Patel. “MADabolic is not just your typical cookie cutter workout. We push members to give it their all and actually see results.”

The forthcoming San Antonio locations build on the original Texas MADabolic, which is currently open in Austin. With the three new locations planned, MADabolic now has more than 10 Texas gyms in development. For high achievers looking to be part of a unique fitness culture, MADabolic will soon arrive in San Antonio, Houston and Dallas to help them achieve their personal best and prioritize self-care as part of their daily routine.

“Being the industry’s first and only strength-driven interval training franchise has its advantages, and that’s why Dimple wanted to move ahead and lock down her portion of the market,” said Brandon Cullen, co-founder and chief concept officer of MADabolic. “The brand is rapidly expanding, even in these unusual times. Dimple realized, much like we have, that great opportunities will exist for boutique fitness as we move back to a more normal business environment. With this move, she has taken a strong step in being able to control the San Antonio market.”

Founded in Charlotte, N.C. by former professional hockey players Cullen and Kirk Dewaele, MADabolic’s distinctiveinterval system is crafted entirely around work-to-rest ratios, which presents a challenging-yet-accessible environment for each client. Each 50-minute class includes a detailed description of the workout, an in-depth demonstration of each movement, and a carefully structured warmup to match the specific demands of the daily workout. MADabolic believes in the value of routine, which fosters a results-driven culture of go-getters who value structure, accountability and results.

Even prior to the pandemic, MADabolic’s operations were designed in a way that allows for it to be COVID compliant. MADabolic has always been known for its clean structure and spacious footprint. At one-and-a-half to two-times the size of competitors, the training floor allows for easy social distancing, and the class structure provides a minimum of six to 10 feet between each client. Each location ranges from 3,000 to 4,500 square feet and the classes have always been capped at 20 to 25 clients. This provides adequate traffic patterns and safe spacing between members and trainers.

The signed agreement in San Antonio comes as MADabolic continues to strengthen its system through franchising into key markets across the United States, including Arlington, Atlanta, Austin, Charlotte, D.C., Houston, Milwaukee, Pittsburgh, Raleigh and Silicon Valley. The brand is actively seeking qualified franchise prospects with a genuine interest in strength and interval training, as well as a connection to their local wellness community. They should also be willing to be hands-on with their business and confident in their ability to make it stand out in their market using the tools, support and resources provided by the MADabolic corporate team.

Ideal MADabolic franchisees are driven and passionate individuals that their members can look up to as role models, ranging from former elite athletes to everyday fitness enthusiasts.
